Mundelein High
School is located in Mundelein, Illinois, and has a student body of
over 2,000 students. |
Our team had the
privilege to construct the robot at Motorola's Libertyville campus,
which employs over 4,000 people. |

In 2006, Motorola employees Mary Rohan and Cindy Ritt (Motorola
Mobile Devices Division in Libertyville, IL) talked with each other
and then with the Motorola Foundation about starting a FIRST
robotics team. The Foundation was not only interested in funding a
FIRST robotics team but they also wanted to be an active
participant. Never having participated in this type of competition,
Mundelein High School was also interested in participating. Our
thanks go out to Rey More (Chief Quality Officer for Motorola),
Mary, Cindy, and Scott Greven, our Motorola team leader.
